NRMA shifts services online to meet 24x7 demand

NRMA Insurance has moved its motor vehicle insurance services online to complement its branch network and telephone service centres to meet 24x7 demand.

NRMA's e-commerce manager, Ron Payne, said customers can receive a quote, renew their insurance or take out new comprehensive motor vehicle insurance online in less than 10 minutes.

"All they need is access to the Internet and to have their registration papers and policy number or NRMA card handy," Payne said.

"We anticipate that 85 per cent of customers will be able to complete a comprehensive car insurance policy online. More complex car insurance transactions will be referred to the Internet Support Group, which was set up to help customers using the website."

Earlier this year, NRMA upgraded its Web site to allow customers to complete their home and CTP insurance online. Payne said that the service has proven popular, with more than 10 per cent of all transactions currently completed over the Internet.

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
