Dell launches 600MHz desktop

Dell has announced the launch of its Dimension XPS T desktop PC featuring a 600MHz Pentium III processor. The system was previously configured with a Pentium III chip running at clock speeds between 450MHz and 550MHz.

The XPS T series features 64MB RAM, a 25GB Ultra ATA hard disk drive, 32MB Diamond Viper V770D AGP graphics memory, a Soundblaster Live 512V sound card, a built-in 250MB Iomega Zip drive and a 6x DVD-ROM drive.

Pricing for the XPS T 600MHz was not available today, though a similar system configured with a 550MHz processor retails for $5674 at Dell's online store.

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
