New Cassiopeia released

Casio has released a new version of its Palm-size PC, the Cassiopeia. Called the Cassiopeia E-15, the new model features 16MB RAM (double that of its predecessor the E-11), a rechargeable battery and 16 levels of grey-scale.

The Cassiopeia E-15 ($849 RRP), runs on Microsoft Windows CE and comes with: Pocket Outlook (for contacts, calendar, tasks and e-mail), PC Link, Note Taker, Voice Recorder, Dial-up and Infrared Connectivity, Active Desktop, Mobile Channel (offline Web content capability), World Clock and Calculator.

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
