Studio MP10 debuts

Studio MP10, a new video editing suite from Pinnacle Systems has been released in Australia by Lako Vision.

Studio MP10 ($699 RRP) is a hardware and software solution for MPEG-1 video capture and editing on Windows 95 and 98-based systems.

The package includes an external (parallel port) MPEG-1 capture and output device, which compresses digitised video and audio up to 200:1 as to that recorded from a TV by a VCR, says Lako Vision.

Pinnacle's Studio video editing software provides real-time MPEG-1 encoding and decoding, plus editing and effects features to produce videos, multimedia CD-ROMs and video for the Internet, according to Lako Vision.

Studio MP10 also provides users with the capability of connecting a camcorder or VCR to the MP10's capture device to record video straight to their PC's hard disk in MPEG-1 format.

In addition to capture device and Studio video editing software, the package includes Impression Multimedia CD authoring software program, TWAIN drivers and Digital VCR MP10 Recorder software.
