Six recruitment companies spanning Australia and New Zealand will launch a new recruitment Web site together -- http://www.recruitersonline.com.au -- on Monday.
Focusing on the information technology and telecommunications industry, the site will include both contract and permanent positions.
The agencies behind the recruitment site include Andersen Consulting, Candle Australia, Icon Recruitment, Andrew Partners, Interim Technology and Paxus People.
The group claims that the site will have over 2000 positions available Australia wide, and will be updated daily. The site is free of charge and job seekers are also able to create customised searches to highlight for example, relevant skills or job listings that are of interest to them.
The agencies involved in the site are required to subscribe to a code of ethics designed to protect the confidentiality of material collected online. For example the resumes of job seekers can only be submitted after a candidate registers and applies for a particular role.
