CA launches Vet $10 Y2K test

Computer Associates, the US software company which acquired Cybec's range of Vet anti virus tools this year, has launched a $9.99 Y2K test kit for PCs.

Available from software retailers, department stores and Mobil Service Stations, the Vet 2000 - Millennium Test Kit diagnoses whether a PC is Y2K-compliant.

The kit, which comes on a single floppy disk, also advises on what can be done to fix non-compliant systems.

Computer Associates also markets the Vet 2000 - Millennium Update Kit ($99 RRP), a software program that corrects the PC's BIOS.
