Hitachi Australia has announced the new 2.5in 6.5GB hard drive for notebooks.
The company claims average seek time is 12ms with a maximum transfer rate of 33.3MB in Ultra DMA Mode 2. Weight is 130g with power consumption of 0.85W. The drive has a 512K buffer and a rotational speed of 4200rpm.
The drive is available through Hitachi resellers with a price of $965.
