Inprise releases Delphi 4

Inprise Australia has made available Delphi 4, a new version of its rapid application development tool for Windows.
The comapny claims that Delphi 4 is the first-ever app development tool to support both "leading distributed computing standards" -- CORBA and COM.
Graham Porter, marketing director for Inprise Australia has warned customers to beware of tools not built with pure CORBA:
"Products which appear to be layering new technology on top of old present significant problems for customers."
Delphi 4 Client/Server Suite ($4099), Delphi 4 Professional ($1299) and Delphi 4 Standard ($179) are availalble now. Upgrade and cross-grade pricing is available. Call Inprise on (02) 9248 0900.
