Adaptec EZ-SCSI 5.0

Adaptec has released EZ-SCSI 5 which is designed to "maximise the usefulness of SCSI peripherals".

The package consists of a range of SCSI utilities and drivers, adding with this version Web-Checkup, Disk ImageSaver, Drive Preparer and Adaptec Scheduler. Web-Checkup performs automatic checking and downloading of the latest Adaptec drivers; Disk ImageSaver is a hard drive imaging tool; Drive Preparer is a hard/tape drive preparation and installation tool; and Adaptec Scheduler automates routine tasks, like antivirus checks and backups.

The product also includes SCSI Interrogator for diagnostics; Easy CD Creator Lite for Copying CD data to a CD-R drive; Adaptec Backup; and Win 95 and Win 98 drivers for Adaptec SCSI cards.

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
