First impression on unpacking the Q702 test unit was the solid feel and clean, minimalist styling.
STOP Anti-theft system for hardware
- — 02 June, 1998 21:49
The STOP (Security Tracking of Office Property) anti-theft system uses ID plates, the international phone service and the Internet to protect computer hardware from theft and loss.
Each computer is marked with an identification plate that can be customised with a company logo. The plate shows a warning message, an ID number and international toll-free phone number to verify the owner's identity. If the ID plate is removed, an indelible message "Stolen Equipment" is left behind, plus the ID number and phone number. An Internet database (http://www.INTB.com) is maintained to track lost or stolen equipment.
STOP will cost between $19 and $29 per item per year, depending on the number of items to be protected.
The STOP system is being marketed by Business Security Solutions; call them on 02 9287 9828 or e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
