Visio's IntelliCAD goes after AutoCAD

Visio is going after the AutoCAD design/drafting market with the release of IntelliCAD 98, which the company is calling "the first viable alternatove to Autodesk's AutoCAD at less than 20 per cent of the price".
Visio claims its product "delivers unprecedented compatibility with AutoCAD files, commands and applications".
IntelliCAD features include Multiple Document Interface for editing multiple drawings simultaneously, Microsoft Active-X in-place editing capabilties, and the Drawing Explorer for managing layers, line types and blocks. The program also has context-senstive right-click editing of selected entities, photorealistic ray-traced rendering and enhanced plotter support.
