Canon cuts printer/scanner prices

Canon has announced price cuts to three of its peripherals -- two Bubble Jet printers, which are now both under $300, and one scanner, which has dropped to under $200.

The CanoScan FB320P flatbed scanner, which provides a true optical resolution of 300 x 300dpi, is now priced at $199, dropping $30 from its original $229 price tag.

The BJC-4310SP colour printer, which Canon says delivers "fast laser quality black printing", has had a $60 price cut down to $239 RRP. And according to the company, the printer includes $169.90 worth of consumables -- a colour ink cartridge, a black ink cartridge and an ink cartridge storage container.

Canon has also announced a price cut for the BJC-255SP printer, which was originally priced at $199, now has an RRP of $159.
