ninemsn launches online travel agency

Another online travel agency has entered the market with the launch of Getaway Travel (http://getaway.com.au), a co-production by the likes of ninemsn and the TV show Getaway, which is broadcast on the Nine Network.
Getaway Travel is one of several online travel agency sites launched this year in Australia -- Yahoo! Australia & NZ Travel (http://travel.yahoo.com.au) and itravel (http://www.itravel.com.au), being two others.
Visitors to the Getaway Travel site can make bookings online for airline tickets, car hire, hotel rooms and travel insurance. And customers may pay by credit card -- an encrypted link is used to protect the information during transmission.
Advice, travel tips, and destination information is also included on the site. The "Getaway Club" -- a weekly e-mail of travel deals is also available.
