$99 digital video camera launched

Logitech today launched its QuickCam Express, a $99 digital video camera that lets PC users record video and take still photos.

The QuickCam Express can be used to create and send video e-mails and is simple to operate, says Logitech. The camera operates with the click of a single button to record video or take photos and comes with software that creates video e-mail attachments.

The camera can also be used for live videoconferencing over the Internet when used with an included copy of Microsoft NetMeeting.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
