Lexmark launches new laser

Lexmark has released a new business-class laser printer with an RRP under $1000.

The Optra E310, which has a $927 price tag, provides 600 x 600dpi resolution and 8ppm printing. Featuring a compact form, the Optra E310 includes standard USB support for Windows 98, a 5000-page toner yield and a number of modes to save power and toner, according to Lexmark.

The printer is fitted with standard PostScript Level 2 and PCL 6 emulation, in addition to 2MB memory and a 67MHz processor, says the company. Lexmark also claims the Optra E310 has duty cycle of 10,000 pages per month.
