Caere announces OmniPage Pro 9

Caere Corporation has announced OmniPage Pro 9 as a "major upgrade" to its OCR application.
The company claims that the new version improves overall OCR accuracy, and adds features like support for colour documents, the ability to identify and maintain tables in word processors, improved recognition of spreadsheets, and enhanced format preservation. Version 9 is bundled with PageKeeper Standard document management software.
The program should be available in early November for a price of $249 for users of any OCR product, including "lite" versions. The full version for users without an OCR product is $899. For more information call Performance Sales on (02) 9957 1400.
