NetComm Roadster II

Australia's first dual-mode modem appears in the form of the Roadster II from NetComm.

The Roadster II supports both K56flex technology and the V.90 standard, as well as the V.80 video phone standard. The bundle also includes Symantec's WinFaxPRO 8.

The modem has an inbuilt microphone and speaker for hands-free speakerphone capability, as well as a headset for private calls. The Roadster II also offers Simultaneous Voice and Data (SVD). Any future changes to the V.90 standard can be downloaded from NetComm's Web site.

The RRP of the NetComm Roadster II is $299.
