IPod remote with LCD

Here's a slightly different twist on the oversaturated iPod accessory market. Keyspan has announced the TuneView, a remote control for your iPod or for iTunes that has a built-in LCD so that you can actually see your playlists and songs as you navigate.

Most remotes, including those that come with iPod speaker systems, don't have a display, so you still have to walk up to your device to make selections (unless you've memorized the folder structure of your iPod). You can also use the remote to control iTunes, running on either a Mac or a PC.

The remote will cost US$99 when it comes out this May, but you'll also need either the TuneView Dock for iPod (an additional $79) or the TuneView USB adapter (US$39) for use with a computer. If using it with the dock, remember that you'll also need to hook it up to speakers--so costwise, it adds up.
