Apple goes to the airlines
You're sitting on a cross-country flight with your video iPod. But instead of enjoying those episodes of "Lost," you're watching that battery indicator sink lower and lower until finally it goes kaput.
It's on to the in-flight mag crossword that's probably been filled out already. All you video iPod owners know what this feels like.
Fortunately, a fix is on the way for passengers on Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM, and United. In 2007, these six airlines will begin including iPod connections on seats. The connections will power and charge your device, as well as allow you to play iPod video content on the seat-back displays in front of you.
None of the Australian airlines have got on board. Yet.
