MySpace will premier what it says is the first network quality television series produced directly for the internet in November this year.
Yesterday the social network company announced that it had obtained the exclusive international distribution rights for Quarterlife, a new series from Emmy award-winning producers Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick.
The show is about a group of twenty-somethings coming of age in the digital generation.
There will also be a new social network site launched in conjunction with the show.
"Quarterlife.com is a social networking site for creative people. Whatever your interest - photography, writing, music, filmmaking, dance, design - quarterlife.com will help you go to the next level. Connect with like-minded people, gather information about schools, grants, and internships. It's a place to explore the issues in your life, where changing the world is as real as the friends you meet," states the site.
"Participate in the ongoing creation of the series, be discovered as a writer, director, composer, photographer - find your next step as an artist and as a person.
The internet series will premiere on MySpace November 11th, and on quarterlife.com November 12th.
