The Future of the PVR in Australia

For the moment, the future of PVR technology in the living room is going to be about hard disk size. With Hitachi's 1000GB system in the wings, things can only get bigger. In the long term, the next stage will be to connect PVR systems to broadband connections to enable video on demand and other services. Trials for movie rental and game services using PVR technology are currently under way and it is only a matter of time before we see them in Australia.
