World Community Grid

What does it do? Enables facebook users in donating their idle computing time to humanitarian research. The World Community Grid is a volunteer computing application which networks the unused computing power of thousands of personal computers. This theoretical supercomputer then powers breakthrough medical research. Over 350,000 members have already joined, and since it's 2004 inception, the Grid has completed over 100,000 years worth of medical research.
This facebook application walks you through the install process and then allows you to display you completed projects and statistics on your profile.

What does it do? This application is a community powered answer generator. Users can type in any movie related question and have it answered.
About the developer: Answerbag is a MySQL powered, PHP and Apache community information site. Its parent company is Demand Media. It consists of three developers: Jonathan Haddad, Adam Tourkow and Alex Chan and several other staff.
