It may have been delayed, but Microsoft’s latest server operating system has been well worth the wait. Some three years in the making, Windows Server 2003 is more an evolutionary than a revolutionary upgrade to its predecessor, Server 2000. The most significant changes are the integration of the .NET framework and the much improved Internet Information Server 6.0. Version 2003 offers a heap of performance improvements and enhancements that are designed to make Windows-based networking faster, more reliable and more secure.
