QuarkXPress 7.31 update released, for Leopard

Quark this week released QuarkXPress 7.31, an update for its desktop publishing software for the Macintosh and Windows. QuarkXPress 7.31 is a free update for QuarkXPress 7 users.

QuarkXPress 7.31 has been optimized for Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard," according to Quark. (The Windows version gets a Vista certification, as well). What's more, Quark has made a variety of enhancements and fixes to this version of QuarkXPress, including:

  • Correct capitalization errors at the beginning and within a sentence
  • Find and correct duplicate words
  • Find and correct spacing errors after punctuation
  • Ignore Internet and file addresses when spellchecking
  • Ignore words with numbers when spellchecking
