Released yesterday, the D700 is a 12.1 megapixel digital SLR camera with a wide range of features borrowed from Nikon's flagship D300 model. The camera has Nikon’s FX-format sensor with an ISO range of 200 to 6400, as well as continuous shooting abilities at up to five frames per second — which can be bumped up to a spectacular 8fps with the battery pack attached. The camera has its own proprietary 51-point autofocus system, with a Scene Recognition System that ensures optimum focusing in all situations. Also released was Nikon’s SB900 Speedlight flash unit, sporting an extensive LCD panel and the ability to accept firmware upgrades through supported Nikon cameras — a first for any manufacturer. In addition, the flash can be used wirelessly to provide creative lighting for any scene.Nikon SB900 SpeedlightNikon D700Nikon’s SB900 SpeedlightNikon D700Nikon D700Nikon’s SB900 SpeedlightNikon D700
