I Am Alive, as depicted by the debut trailer shown today, takes place in a post-apocalyptic Chicago while the world is dealing with a water shortage crisis. The game was confirmed for "current generation" systems, said Ubisoft; predictably at least PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

"Ubisoft continues to create new experiences for players, and I Am Alive will appeal to anyone that enjoys a thrilling journey," said Yves Guillemot, president of Ubisoft, during the publishers E3 media briefing. "The game will offer a rich palette of emotions while challenging players to make life-changing decisions."
