First impression on unpacking the Q702 test unit was the solid feel and clean, minimalist styling.
Optus fails to Excite

The several thousand users of Optus' free e-mail service, Excite, have until Tuesday to find a new e-mail provider after the company recently announced it will drop the Excite service.
According to an e-mail sent direct to all Excite e-mail customers, those using free Excite e-mail accounts have until tomorrow to transfer all of their e-mail address listings and find alternative accounts before the service closes.
Optus says it is redirecting all Excite users to a new home at Optusnet.com.au and will be terminating the Web site along with the webmail tomorrow.
Those who have personalised start-up pages will be able to transfer their content settings across to the new home after the 26th.
Optus says Excite content will continue to be available to users for free.
The joint venture between Optus and Excite@Home lasted a mere 18 months before Optus bought out its partner's share on September 18. The decision to acquire Excite Australia was reached after the US-based company said it could no longer support operations in Australia.
