Government considering expanding Do Not Call Register

Senator Conroy is seeking written submissions into the possibility of including business lines and faxes into the Register.

The Federal Government is considering expanding the purview of the National Do Not Call Register to include all telephone and fax numbers, and is seeking input from the community.

Currently numbers used primarily for business, fax numbers and emergency services numbers may not be listed on the register.

But Senator Stephen Conroy, Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Friday announced plans for a Departmental Discussion Paper into expanding the register, and asked for community consultation.

Any interesting parties have been asked to provide written submissions by September 12.

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
