Telstra (ASX:TLS) has had a very successful financial year, with revenue up 4.7 percent to $24.8 billion.
EBITDA increased 5.6 percent to 10.4 billion, with a margin of 42 percent.
Revenue from retail broadband services increased a massive 49.2 percent, whereas mobile services increased by 12.3 percent.
On the other hand, revenue from Telstra's Public Circuit Switched Telephone Network [PSTN] – the network of customers using Telstra fixed-line or mobile services – was down 3.2 percent.
This is a trend effecting many telecommunications providers worldwide – and Telstra, with its range of service businesses, seems less affected than most.
The company easily outperformed its global peers – including France Telecom, Telecom New Zealand, and BT - in domestic revenue growth this financial year.
