3 launches shared mobile broadband plan

3 has introduced a range of mobile plans which will allow businesses to share their monthly data allowance across multiple users.
The Shared Mobile Broadband plans, targeted at small and medium businesses, will allow users to pool their monthly allowances and share them across multiple users.
This will allow heavy users to consume bandwidth from lighter users' allocation, reducing the potential for bill shock.
The prices will be presented in a single bill, and users can track consumption habits using 3's Web site.
Two plans are currently available, the first costs $29 per user per month (plus $5 per month for modem rental), and includes 3GB of data per user. The second costs $39, with 6GB allocated per user.
The plans are only available for customers with ABN or ACN numbers.
