Guitar Hero On Tour is back and this time you are placed on a journey through the history of rock beginning with the 1970s and transcending into the hits of today. Share songs from the original game and play along with friends to add some extra fun.

Get a Grip

Just like the original Guitar Hero On Tour, Decades will use the Guitar Grip add-on that fits into the DS' GBA slot. As we have mentioned in our review of Decades, the Guitar Grip is a pretty nifty addition to the Guitar hero family of peripherals.

"The most impressive thing about On Tour is the four-button controller-it's a fairly simple yet sophisticated piece of tech that snaps into the GBA port and elevates On Tour from a simple port to a full-fledged product. To use it, you hold the DS in book mode and cradle the controller in your hand, with your fingers resting on the button. The gameplay is still the same classic Guitar Hero that you know and love, with the familiar rolling fretboard "highway" delivering colored notes that you have to strum-using the stylus or the included guitar pick-on the touchpad screen in time to the beat."

For a handheld Guitar Hero title, the song list is pretty impressive although I would have liked to have seen some better selections in the 80's department. There have also been some improvements in the gameplay arena which includes the ability to share songs from the original game and the option of rocking out with a friend using the DS' WiFi capabilities. It's the perfect addition for that holiday family gathering!

Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades will rock the screens of your DS on November 16.
