Gears of War 2 sales top 2 million at launch
Doesn't beat Halo 3.
Surprise! Gears of War 2 did very well in its first three days at retail, thank you. But not as good as Halo 3, which sold well above 2 million in the first 24 hours last September.
Nevertheless, more than 1.5 million logged into Gears of War 2 on Xbox Live during the weekend, says Microsoft, helping to set a new record for concurrent Live players, slow matchmaking be damned.
