"Beats by Dr. Dre" is the name of a new set of high-performance headphones conceived and designed by the famous music producer himself in conjunction with Monster, the company already well known for its Monster Cable and Monster Power home entertainment products.

In development for two years, the headphones were extensively tested by Dr. Dre and Monster’s head engineer, Noel Lee. Lee, who has worked at Monster since its birth 30 years ago, said: “Listening to music with Beats headphones is a true ear-opening experience; users will enjoy not only their comfort and style, but their sonic performance that is unequalled in any other headphone.”

The headphones will come with many extras including a carrying case, anti-microbial cleaning cloths, a Monster-brand headphone cable as well as an adapter to allow the headphones to be connected to professional-grade audio equipment.

The Beats by Dr. Dre headphones are available now for a recommended retail price of $599.
