LG today announced a new flagship mobile phone, the ARENA (KM900).

Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona, the ARENA will feature LG's new 3D S-Class user interface.

The cube-based interface will provide four customisable home screens for access to features such as music, movies and pictures, and touch-based 3D menus will also feature. “The direct, intuitive and dynamic S-Class UI will be unlike anything that has appeared on a mobile phone before”, said Dr Skott Ahn, LG's CEO. "With rich 3D graphics, touch sensitivity and exciting multimedia capabilities, it will truly make ARENA a fully loaded multimedia phone."

In addition to the all-new 3D interface, the ARENA will feature Dolby and DivX technologies, HSDPA 7.2 connectivity, Wi-Fi and GPS.
