Vodafone today announced Australia's cheapest 24-month set contract deal for the popular Apple iPhone 3G.

At $69 per month over 24 months with no extra charge for the bundled 8GB Apple iPhone 3G, Vodafone's offer is $1 a month cheaper than its nearest competitor, Virgin Mobile, which offers the same phone for $70 a month.

While Vodafone's plan offers $340 of credit and 250MB of mobile data per month, Virgin's plan gives users $520 of credit and a 1GB download limit per month.

For more information on the either plan, visit the Web sites of Vodafone or Virgin.

$19 cap

The phone charge is $21 so it is $40 per month and hence cheaper than stated in article.

Only includes about $50 worth of calls and 100MB data but for an infrequent user (like my wife) this works well. Wireless at home and work means she only ever uses about 10MB of data anyway
