Bang & Olufsen launches BeoVision 8-40

The Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 8-40 is priced at $7990.
Bang & Olufsen has released information on its latest super-stylish LCD television, the BeoVision 8-40. The 40in TV has a 100Hz screen refresh rate with motion compensation and dynamic contrast.
The television is designed to fit in with the styling of other Bang & Olufsen products, while home integration is managed through an additional plug-and-play module.
Bang & Olufsen claims that the BeoVision 8-40 sets new standards for television sound quality, with a hidden bass speaker to recreate low notes, while the front speakers are tuned specifically to suit dialogue and human speech.
Stands and wall brackets allow flexible positioning of the Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 8-40. With a retail price of $7990, it is the cheapest large flat-screen television the company has released.
