Nintendo Wii is perfect wedding gift

Gadgets and consoles are popular wedding list items

The Nintendo Wii is among one of the 20 most requested items on wedding lists, says Debenhams.

According to the department store, the gaming console is just one of a number of gadgets that are being requested by newly married couples. Other popular items include Apple iPods, HD TVs and digital photo frames, which have replaced the more traditional silver photo frame.

John Lewis also said speaker systems for iPods and other MP3 players are also a popular wedding list item.

"Two years ago, the top 20 products on the Gift List were exclusively traditional items from linens, kitchenware, china and glass but, in the second half of last year, the Wii Sports pack made it to the top 20," said Tracey Yates, senior analyst, Gift List at John Lewis.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
