ViewSonic unveils new compact projector - the PJD5111

New DLP projector has SVGA resolution, 2500 lumens brightness and 4000 hour lamp life

ViewSonic Corporation has announced the launch of its new ultra-bright DLP projector, the PJD5111, with enhanced network and multimedia capabilities. It has a native 800 x 600 SVGA resolution and projects with an intensity of 2500 lumens.

According to the press release, the PJD5111 has a sophisticated 6-segment color wheel and enriches the yellow color performance that is key to accurate and vivid color reproduction. At only 2.3 kgs, ViewSonic`s PJD5111 projector is light and compact, making it suitable as a ‘mobile presenter’.

The user can simply unplug the projector and without waiting for the usual cool down phase. This feature also protects the lamp from sudden power blackouts. Incorporation of Eco Mode further extends the life of projector lamp to up to 4000 hours and helps reduce noise output. The Viewsonic PJD5111 also has two RGB inputs and one RGB output.

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
