At the CeBIT tech tradeshow in Sydney, Plantronics announced the release of its Savi Go and Savi Office communications headsets. The headsets can connect to a PC and a desk phone or Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone simultaneously.

The Plantronics Savi Office is a wireless mono or stereo head-set — depending on the model — that functions as a desk phone using a standard phone line jack, while also allowing the transmission of PC audio. DECT encryption technology allows audio to be transmitted without a cord with a range of over 100 metres. A noise-cancelling microphone allows voices to remain clear without any background interference.

The Plantronics Savi Go is designed to be worn both inside the office and out. A Bluetooth dongle connects the headset to a PC for audio transmission, while on-body controls allow switching between mobile phone and PC audio. A2DP Bluetooth technology allows high-quality stereo audio to be streamed.

Plantronics resellers will stock the Savi models in May, with the Plantronics Savi Office and Plantronics Savi Go devices available for $649 and $349, respectively.
