When it rains, it pours. Blizzard became the latest game developer to announce a delay to 2010. In this case, for its long-awaited PC strategy game Starcraft 2.

In a press release, Blizzard announced that the game would not be ready for release by the end of 2009 due to online gaming service Battle.net. "The upgraded Battle.net is an integral part of the StarCraft II experience and will be an essential part of all of our games moving forward." Blizzard stated in a press release. "This extra development time will be critical to help us realise our vision for the service."

Starcraft 2 is the latest video game to miss its 2009 release date, joining BioShock 2 and a swag of Ubisoft titles.
