Samsung has announced the launch of its S1 Mini ultra-portable external hard drive with a maximum disk capacity of 250GB. The new S1 Mini 250GB hard drive will feature Spinpoint N3U which incorporates a native USB controller on its circuit board, in the process providing 56% disk space than the previous 160GB model. In addition, Samsung external HDD series supports various user-frienly features such as Samsung Auto Backup that enables real-time or scheduled backup and SecretZone that encrypts and stores vital data on a virtual drive as well as SafeKey, a powerful data-security function that offers dual data protection through a password.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
