iPhone Avoids Getting Shot in Apple Store
Man arrested after threatening his iPhone with public execution.

iPhones aren't without their problems, but do they deserve public execution? Apparently so. Donald Goodrich, 38, threatened to stuff his broken iPhone with 9mm bullets at a Cincinnati-area Apple Store before getting arrested for aggravated menacing and carrying a concealed weapon.

Goodrich told an Apple employee he was so mad he could "pop a 9mm" into his iPhone, according to police reports. Then he reportedly showed the employee his 9mm pistol concealed in his shirt. The Apple genius said she'd get the phone fixed, went into the back room and told her manager, and then the police were called.

Goodrich has a permit to carry a concealed weapon, but because he did not inform the arresting officer that he was packing heat, he was charged. Goodrich was released as long as he stays away from the mall (oh, no!) and promises to show up in court.

I've had problems with my iPhone and have seriously considered chucking it at a wall and watching it explode, but brandishing a gun in public seems awful inappropriate. He should've just shot the thing in the woods.
