Panasonic has announced a choice of free "high-definition" products for purchasers of Full HD Viera plasma televisions. Buyers can choose from a digital camera, a Blu-ray home theatre system, or a digital television recorder.

Announced a few days after a similar offer from Sony, Panasonic's promotion lets customers choose from a Lumix DMC-FT1 digital camera, a SC-BT200 home theatre system or a DMR-XW350 digital television recorder. There are 12,000 units of each product available — the grand total of 36,000 giveaways compared to Sony's 25,000 Playstation 3 Slim consoles.

Starting from 24 October, the promotion is valid on all current Full HD plasma televisions from the company, ranging from the Panasonic Viera TH-P42S10A priced at $1899 to the $6999 54in TH-P54Z1A, which is Panasonic's premier model.
