Samsung gives away free LCD TVs

Buy one LCD TV, get another one free

Buyers of selected Samsung's LCD, LED and plasma televisions in the lead-up to Christmas will be eligible a free 22in or 26in LCD television. Running until 5pm on 24 December, the offer gives consumers a free second screen that will suit a bedroom or study.

Buyers of Series 5, Series 6 and Series 8 plasma televisions — as well as Series 6 and Series 7 LCD screens — are eligible for a free 22in Series 4 LCD television worth $699. Any purchaser of a more expensive Samsung LED television such as the Series 6, Series 7 or Samsung UA46B8000 (Series 8 can redeem a free 26in Series 4 LCD television worth $899.

The Samsung site claims delivery times of up to six weeks, so even if buyers redeem their free gifts soon they may not receive them in time for Christmas. Sony's Christmas promotion guarantees buyers will receive their free PS3 slim before Christmas if the offer is redeemed by 1 December.
