While details are still scarce -- something we're working towards fixing -- EA announced Dead Space 2 earlier today. The true follow-up to our 2008 Xbox 360 Game of the Year, Dead Space 2 will be seeing release on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 next year. Among the scant information released by EA is that Isaac Clarke will once again serve as the game's protagonist, and that there will be more weapons to dismember the many necromorphs.
Much like last week's Medal of Honor, EA has not released any screen shots or trailers for the game, but the game's official Twitter feed debuted with a link to a screen, which has since been decoded by followers to read "THE NIGHTMARE IS OVER BUT IT WILL NOT END!."
So there you have it. Isaac Clarke, more weapons, continuing nightmare. The press release is below.
