More reports claim Apple Tablet coming on January 26

Speculation continues to swirl that Apple has planned a launch event for the long-rumored tablet next month.

Speculation continues to rev up that the mysterious Apple tablet is coming soon. More reports are saying that the Cupertino company has planned a "big" event for January 26th, and all signs point to the event as a launch for the mythical Apple tablet.

Both the Financial Times and FoxNews cite sources inside Apple that confirm a major event in January, possibly iPhone/iPod touch related. As a new iPhone has been released just this past summer and new iPods in September, it seems unlikely that Apple would launch new models. But the Apple tablet is rumored to run on the same operating system as the current line of iPhone and iPod touch devices.

The first report on the Apple tablet announcement came from the Financial Times before Christmas, and now FoxNews' Clayton Morris' source says the January 26th event will focus on the mobility space. As new iPhones and iPods are not expected until after summer 2010, everybody is hoping for the long-rumored Apple tablet to arrive. The January event will reportedly be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, where Apple has been holding iPod-centric events yearly.

The Apple tablet, whether it's called the iSlate or some other name, is still a fanboy's dream - nobody knows exactly what sort of functionality it will have. Reports throughout the year have said that it will focus on video (with respective deals with studios in place), while some point towards a digital reading device that will compete directly with the Amazon Kindle and the infamous Barnes&Noble Nook.

Screen sizes, other specifications, availability, and pricing for the Apple tablet are still only speculation. Should Apple fail to deliver a tablet device in early 2010, many of those who have been holding up for the device could just opt for a probably cheaper alternative such as the Kindle, Nook, or JooJoo.

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
