The long-awaited Return to Ostagar content pack briefly available yesterday for Xbox 360 Dragon Age owners was removed from Xbox Live due to "a previously undetected issue" that renders key character abilities unusable after users downloaded a DA:O title update.
Though the Return to Ostagar DLC went live yesterday as we reported, a game update intended to prepare Xbox 360 owners for the new content turned out to have unintended consequences after players complained that the update rendered class specializations (Champion, Shapeshifter, Assassin etc.) inoperable.
Bioware has removed the DLC in response and warned 360 owners not to download the DA:O update. The developers are working to fix the problem and release a remedy for those who already downloaded the bogus update, and further updates can be found in the community thread here. No word yet on how long we'll have to wait and when PS3 and PC Dragon Age owners will be able to access the new content.
