Nobody can deny that Sony is a trailblazer when it comes to technological innovation -- from the PSX onwards, the company has continually shaped the future of gaming. What might be less obvious is that they are also pioneers of homoerotic imagery in game advertising. No really.
For the past few years, Sony has continually used clean-cut, androgynous pretty boys with swishy clothes and designer stubble to promote the PlayStation brand – a bold move for which the company should be commended. The first press release for the PlayStation Move continues this fine tradition: it features a non-threatening metrosexual offering his sex toy to the gamer. (Or maybe it's the PlayStation Move; it's hard to tell from a distance.)
Sony, you are true liberals. Bless.
Here's our selection of Sony's buff boys who happen to love gaming too!
We're pretty sure this guy was in Depeche Mode
The tongue really isn't needed in this pic.
Eyes on the game, fellas...
Where not sure what this guy is so excited about -- at the time of the advertisement, there were precisely no PSP games worth playing.
