Sony launches 3D TV demos around Australia

The Sony KDL-60LX900 is an LED television that supports 3D video content.
Sony is giving visitors to Sydney's World Square the opportunity to test out Sony BRAVIA 3D TV sets before their release in July.
The Sony promotion will roll out across Australia in the coming months, with the company planning to open 14 demonstration sites by the end of May. The demonstration marks one of the first chances for consumers to check out 3D televisions outside of major exhibitions and electronics shows.
People can book appointments to test the 3D TV technology in-store or online. Sony faces strong competition from major rivals in the market like Samsung, LG and Panasonic, which are all set to bring out their own 3D TV sets in the first half of 2010. Samsung is releasing its 3D TVs on April 19.
Sony will display a handful of 3D PlayStation titles, as well as a 3D version of the Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs movie and clips from a FIFA football match filmed in 3D.
