Ubisoft's Splinter Cell Conviction launched on Monday to high reviews and a frozen second level, the latter of which was quickly remedied. For folks who may not have been so high on the game in general, Ubisoft is looking to sweeten the deal by giving out free DLC every week. The company announced today that it will be delivering new content to Conviction owners every Thursday, starting with a MP7A1 Machine Pistol tomorrow.
The language of the announcement seems to indicate that no "Cerberus Network"-style codes will be necessary to receive the new content. In fact, the steps regarding how to obtain the DLC seems achievable by new and used game owner alike. Check it out:
You must own Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction to receive this free content. An internet connection and an Xbox 360 gamertag is required. Select "EXTRAS" from the game's main menu to download free content each week.
